Correlation and Path Coefficiant Analysis for Quantitative Traits in Greengram [Vigna radiate (L.) Wilczek]

نویسندگان

چکیده

Genetic variability, correlation coefficient and path coefficients analysis were carried outin a set of 20 genotypes Greengram grown in an randomized block design with three replications during kharif- 2021. Analysis variance indicated significant difference among for the characters plant height (cm), biological yield(g), seed index(g), number clusters per plant, days to 50 percent flowering. This existence variability genotype. The high estimates heritability genetic advance found height, primary branches plant. The highest percentage PCV was observed pods GCV association revealed that yield exhibited positive index, yield, branches, pod length, harvest index Path followed by (g), seeds pod, effective selection yielding genotype as they direct effect along yield. Based on mean performance SML-668, PANT MOONG-05, BPMR-145, CO-7, BM 2002-1 superior These may be used parents crop improvement programs develop varieties.

To evaluate the performance of mungbean genotypes including C.V. NM98, C.V. Ramzan and a local genotype as check, an experiment was designed in farmers’ field in Rarasham district Musakhel. This region is situated in Monsoon belt of Balochistan province of Pakistan. Mungbean is one of the major kharif pulse crop grown in this region as solo or intercropped with sorghum or millet. Significant va...

Correlation and Path Coefficient Analysis for Yield and Yield Components in Blackgram (vigna Mungo (l.) Hepper)

Correlation coefficient and path analysis studies was conducted with eight parents and their 28 F1 crosses for twelve component characters including seed yield and revealed significant positive association of pods per plant, harvest index and clusters per plant with seed yield in parental generation whereas in F1 generation, significant positive association of clusters per plant, pods per plant...

Correlation and Path Coefficients among Quantitative Traits in Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

Since many of the quantitative plant characters of economic values are highly influenced by environmental condition, the progress in breeding in such a population is primarily conditioned by the magnitude, nature and inter-relations of genotypic and non-genotypic variations in plant characters. Therefore we estimated phenotypic, genotypic and environmental correlation coefficients and path coef...
